🌿 Nutritional Benefits

While you might not automatically think of garlic and parmesan sauce as being highly nutritional, it does offer several nutritional benefits that you may not be aware of.

  • Heavy cream contains fat-soluble vitamins A, D, E, and K, which are more easily absorbed when consumed with fat.
  • Garlic offers a wide range of health benefits including antioxidant, anti-inflammatory and lipid-lowering properties.
  • Packed with protein: Parmesan cheese contains 10g of protein in a one-ounce serving.

Step 3: Add the flour and stir to form a paste. Pour in the broth and whisk until combined .Bring to a low simmer until it thickens.

Cream and parmesan cheese are added into the pot of melted butter and seasoning

Step 4: Add heavy cream and grated Parmesan cheese. Whisk until the cheese melts and the sauce is smooth and creamy. Season to taste.

Hint: stir often to keep the cream from burning or sticking to the bottom of the pot.

Now your sauce is ready to top pasta, potatoes, veggies, and even chicken wings! If you're looking for a tried-and-true chicken wings recipe, try these Pickle Chicken Wings.

📖 Substitutions and Variations

There are a couple of ways you can modify this recipe to suit your dietary preferences or the ingredients you have on hand.

  • 🥦Vegetarian - use vegetable broth instead of chicken broth
  • 🌽Substitute Cornstarch for Gluten Free All Purpose Flour - mix 2 tablespoon cornstarch with a bit of the cold broth before adding to the pot.

🔪 Equipment

Garlic parmesan wing sauce only requires a few basic tools that you definitely already have on hand.

  • Small Stock Pot
  • Measuring cups and Spoons
  • Rubber Spatula
  • Whisk

🍽️ Storage

This sauce stores well in an air-tight container for 3-4 days. It’s important to remember that homemade sauces generally have a shorter shelf life compared to store-bought varieties due to their higher moisture content and lack of preservatives.

⭐ Top tip

When reheating garlic parmesan cheese sauce, do so gently to avoid separating the sauce. You can either microwave it in 30-second intervals or heat it slowly over low heat in a saucepan.

Can this sauce be made in a larger batch and canned?
I don’t have access to blogs, what are the macros?

You can definitely make a bigger batch, but I haven't tried canning it! If you try it, let me know how it turns out 🙂
In terms of macros, I don't calculate them on my site because they vary depending on ingredients/brands you use.
